As the endpoint of the first half of the Grand Line, the islands had been exceptionally lively recently.

Furthermore, like the Kid Pirates, the Straw Hat Pirates were one of only two pirate crews with two Supernovas. The other Supernova, Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro, had a bounty of 120 million Beli.
