History

Yang Xiong conceived the Body Sect as an independent battle-oriented sect that would complement the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s support-oriented strengths. Its intended core was the Martial Path—Self-Created Soul Skills used to compensate for a Soul Master’s weaknesses—while its long-term purpose was to develop Body Martial Souls through systematic body refinement and Second Awakening research. 131

The sect was formally established after Yang Wudi of the Breaking Clan, Niu Gao of the Defense Clan, and Bai He of the Speed Clan agreed to join Yang Xiong and Lin Gong. Yang Xiong named Lin Gong Great Elder, followed by Yang Wudi, Niu Gao, and Bai He as the Second through Fourth Elders. The original organization remained secret, even from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, while it gathered resources and strengthened its members around Cloud Mist Mountain. 132 140

Dragon Duke Meng Shu later joined as Fifth Elder with his family and Exotic Beast Academy. The academy became Body Academy, where students from the affiliated clans and civilian children with Body Martial Souls received dedicated instruction. 142

The sect first intervened openly during Spirit Hall’s Soul Hunting Operation, mobilizing to reinforce the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect while keeping Bai He behind to hold Cloud Mist Mountain. 178 Following the destruction of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, Yang Xiong led the Body Sect to occupy Thunder Valley, transforming it from the former clan territory into the sect’s permanent foundation. 187 227

Principles and Rules

Martial Path

The Body Sect’s central inheritance is the Martial Path, a system of Self-Created Soul Skills and combat techniques intended to overcome the predictable, body-bound nature of Body Martial Soul skills. It emphasizes body refinement, combat skill, and the pursuit of a Second Awakening. 131 232

Merit-based succession

Yang Xiong rejects hereditary succession. The sect leader is to be selected from the strongest generation rather than inherited through bloodline, while elders may remove a reckless sect leader through a vote. 232

First Iron Rule

“No one may harm a fellow sect member.” 232

Members and elders alike are forbidden from oppressing fellow disciples. Violators may be expelled regardless of status; betrayal also forfeits a family’s place within the sect. 232

• Body Academy — The sect’s educational branch, formed from Exotic Beast Academy and later expanded through the Four Element Academy. It teaches affiliated-clan disciples, civilian students, and Body Martial Soul masters. 142 209
