Looking at Gardevoir behind Xinhai and Eevee on his shoulder, Wallace's clear eyes held undisguised admiration.
"Yes, beauty." Wallace nodded as he kept walking. "It isn't something that can be deliberately put on display. It is the beauty born from Pokémon's long-formed habits, or from years upon years of training."
"This beauty is reflected in the transitions between every move and stance. That sense of fluidity, that aura of 'naturalness,' is the highest realm pursued by countless top Coordinators."
"This can only be achieved through long-term accumulation and a deep understanding of coordination." Wallace continued, his voice filled with heartfelt praise. "Xinhai, you have the potential to become a top Coordinator."
Xinhai fell silent for a moment, then gently shook his head.
"Mr. Wallace, thank you for your recognition." His voice was calm and sincere, and his steps did not pause. "But for now, I have no plans to develop in the direction of becoming a Coordinator. To me, growing stronger with my partners, traveling together, and facing all kinds of challenges together—that is what matters most."
Wallace looked at him. There was no disappointment in his clear eyes; instead, a deeper smile flickered through them.
"I understand." He nodded. "A Trainer who truly loves Pokémon would not change who he is just to pursue some kind of 'title.' You have your own path to walk, and that is good."
After a pause, he added, "However, if you ever become interested in Coordinator training, you can come find me anytime."
"Thank you," Xinhai said earnestly.
The two reached the entrance of the Gym, and Wallace stopped.
The afternoon sunlight poured in from outside, stretching his shadow long behind him. He turned around with that signature elegant smile on his face.
"I'll see you off here," he said with a smile.
