As Steelix continued deeper, the pressure around it grew stronger and stronger, as if the weight of the entire Mt. Moon rested upon its shoulders.
The terrifying pressure squeezed every inch of space as though it were tangible, placing considerable strain on Steelix.
The surrounding rock layers also became increasingly hard, gradually changing from ordinary limestone into special mineral veins containing pure rock and Ground-type energy.
As Steelix traveled through these precious mineral veins, its speed slowed considerably. Some unusual veins were difficult even for Steelix to pass through directly, forcing it to detour in advance.
Flint and Steelix had no choice but to change direction several times, avoiding rare mineral deposits that even rock and Ground-type energy could not easily soften.
After continuing deeper for another five kilometers or so, they finally arrived at the Core Area of the mineral vein.
This was a vast rock chamber excavated by Pokémon. Every rock within it was a rare mineral vein that would make trainers fight tooth and nail in the outside world. They emitted lights of various colors, illuminating the entire space.
At the center of the rock chamber, a gigantic beast resembling Godzilla walked toward Flint and Steelix.
Heavy footsteps echoed through the chamber, each step making the ground tremble faintly.
It stood over seven meters tall, its entire body covered in dark golden armor. Every part of it resembled meticulously forged plate armor, gleaming coldly beneath the light of the ores.
Its powerful limbs stood firmly on the ground, while its thick tail slowly swayed behind it. Each sweep carved deep furrows into the rocky floor.
Its golden-red eyes were like two burning flames as it calmly watched Flint and Steelix.
Meanwhile, deep within the Mt. Moon Subrange, at the two Elite level battlefields.
Aggron and Steelix
