Vegapunk's face was full of pride. He stepped aside, revealing a heavy metal door standing quietly open behind him.

No furnishings could be seen beyond the door. There was only a slowly revolving grayish-white vortex that swallowed every gaze trying to peer inside.

"Were there originally Lineage Factors from Impel Down prisoners with Devil Fruit powers on this island?"

Lucas was somewhat curious.

He had personally obtained the Ripe-Ripe Fruit, Time-Time Fruit, and Castle-Castle Fruit, but he had never expected that creating this pirate version of a "Hyperbolic Time Chamber" would also require the More-More Fruit.

But then he quickly reconsidered. In the original timeline, Vegapunk had obtained a large number of Lineage Factor samples from Impel Down prisoners through some means in order to create the Seraphim.

It seemed that the world's greatest scientist had quite a few research materials supplied by prisoners on hand.

Sure enough, Vegapunk's answer confirmed his guess.

"Impel Down holds so many Devil Fruit users. They were kept there partly for my research."

Vegapunk admitted it frankly, then returned to the subject.

"The room behind me runs at more than three hundred times the flow of time outside. Simply put, if you stay inside for a year, only one day will pass outside."

Lucas's eyes lit up at that ratio, and he immediately asked, "Are there any restrictions on entering it? Can I go in?"

He calculated rapidly in his mind. With a place like this, he could completely train in seclusion for decades, then emerge and head straight for the Holy Land.

Just as his imagination ran wild, Vegapunk poured a bucket of cold water over him without the slightest courtesy.
