Fleeing in Defeat

The fifth loop.

"Dormammu, we're here to negotiate terms with you!"

Robin was met only with deep silence. Yake glanced back at Reiju, signaling for her to take the opportunity to drain Dormammu's energy. Reiju nodded and immediately got into position—not slacking off, but preparing to absorb energy.

Seeing Reiju begin to absorb his energy, Dormammu could no longer sit still. After merely four loops, he had already lost nearly 0.06% of his power. He lost more each time because Yake and Reiju could hold out longer and longer. He had exhausted nearly every method available, yet he still could not kill them.

"Stop! Damn it, since I can't kill you, I'll torment you and make you sink into an endless sea of suffering!"

Although Yake did not know what had happened, Dormammu had definitely killed him before. He might as well use this chance to familiarize himself with his powers. Robin had similar thoughts. As fellow dimensional rulers, they were far inferior to Dormammu. They had never devoured planets, so it was understandable that their scale could not compare to his, but they could still learn from him in other respects.

Yake shouted at Robin, "Robin, hold him off for a while! I want to try the power of my dimension!"

"Alright, I'll do my best!"

Robin soared into the sky and summoned countless golden chains to bind Dormammu. Dormammu was stunned. Why were their abilities different every time they fought him? His skill pool was almost running out.

But this was not enough to deal with Dormammu. It did not take much effort for him to break free of the chains. Black spikes filled the sky in a sweeping barrage. There was nowhere to hide, so Robin could only summon shields to block them.

"Hurry up! Come on!"
