Marineford.
"Sengoku, according to reliable intelligence from Cipher Pol, the wanted criminal God Yake, who vanished three months ago, has appeared in the Alabasta Kingdom. Deploy the Navy immediately to encircle and suppress Yake. This operation must succeed—failure is not an option. If necessary, authorize a Buster Call. Make the preparations. I await your good news."
After the Five Elders hung up, Sengoku gave a bitter smile. "A Buster Call? Does a rookie brat really deserve that kind of treatment? Sigh..."
"Notify Garp. Have him set out for Alabasta immediately. His vacation is over. Tell him he must intercept Yake."
Alubarna.
At Yake's request, Robin made a rubbing of the Poneglyphs that recorded Pluton's location, then left the palace.
Collected one Poneglyph. Stage mission completed. Reward: one draw opportunity.
Save it. Yake silently decided. With the system's drop rates, using one draw would probably be a complete waste.
Only after watching the two scourges leave did Cobra finally let out a real sigh of relief. His back had unknowingly been drenched in sweat, and he slumped stiffly against the throne.
"By the way, Captain, where is our ship?" Robin suddenly asked as they walked.
"Ah... hahaha, I don't have a ship yet. To be honest, I haven't even decided on a name for the pirate crew." Yake scratched his head awkwardly. He had always flown around alone, so buying a ship had never crossed his mind.
"You're not telling me our pirate crew only has the two of us, are you?" Robin's expression darkened as overwhelming resentment locked onto Yake.
"Congratulations, you learned how to answer before being called on... Cough, cough. Fine, let's check the harbor later and see if there are any pirate crews around. We'll steal a ship to use for now." Yake was frightened by Robin's increasingly dark expression. It was truly terrifying.
"Sigh... How did I get bewitched into following such a broke captain? Your bounty is fifteen hundred million, yet you don't even have a ship." Robin was helpless. One look at Yake's behavior told her he was not lying.
At the harbor, a pirate crew happened to be burning, killing, and looting nearby. In the past, the hero Crocodile would have come to save them at a time like this. Unfortunately, Crocodile had already fallen.
"Thor's Divine Punishment!"
Dozens of dazzling lightning pillars descended from the sky, striking every pirate with perfect precision. The violent lightning reduced them to charred corpses, releasing a nauseating stench.
"What... a terrifying ability..." Robin looked at Yake's calm expression. Attacks of this level seemed as effortless to him as eating and drinking. Her new boss was unexpectedly powerful.
"Hey, hey, stop staring. Let's go. We have a ship now." Yake waved a hand in front of Robin and pointed at the three-masted sailing ship docked at the harbor.
Once they burned the pirate flag, the ship officially belonged to Yake.
"Robin, your ability is more convenient. Go clear out the clutter." The moment he boarded, Yake immediately felt like a captain and began ordering Robin around.
"Captain, I'm a historian, not a cleaner." Robin immediately voiced her objection.
"From now on, you're this ship's cleaner, navigator, cook, and historian. It would be such a waste not to use your ability for these things..." Yake said righteously.
"Don't worry, it's only temporary. Once I find a few more crew members, you can peacefully be a historian again. Just consider it training your ability. That's that—this is the captain's order!" Seeing Robin's expression turn unpleasant, Yake hurriedly tried to comfort her.
"And what will the captain do?" Robin asked faintly.
"I'm responsible for protecting my companions. Your life is my life!" Yake said seriously to Robin.
"Ara ara, all right. That really is an impossible reason to argue against." Robin smiled. This new captain really was a man full of mysteries.
"Excellent. From this moment on, our pirate crew is officially established. We are—the Yake Pirates!" Yake was truly terrible at naming things, so he could only use the common naming method of this world: naming the crew after its captain.
Standing at the Pinnacle of the Sea—Series One completed. Reward: three draw opportunities. Mission issued: Standing at the Pinnacle of the Sea—Series Two, Crew Assembly. At least four crew members with roles such as ship doctor, navigator, cook, and so on.
He now had four draw opportunities. He would keep saving them. No matter what, he had to save up ten and use them all at once. It seemed the main missions progressed step by step as well, Yake silently thought. To outsiders, it looked as though he had suddenly fallen silent.
"What an arrogant captain..." Robin teased, and Yake snapped back to his senses.
"Don't mind those details. Also, this ship will be called the Eternal Truth." Yake seemed very pleased with the name he had chosen, sitting proudly at the bow.
"I think Dark Maru is a pretty good name." Robin could not help adding.
"Shut up, Robin. I'm the captain!"
After purchasing enough food and fresh water, Yake set sail. His next destination was Water 7, where he planned to find a shipwright to join his crew. However, he would have to pass through Mock Town first to resupply.
Although the island was filled with CP9 spies, Yake did not take them seriously at all. In the first half of the New World, Yake was invincible.
On the route to Water 7, a dog-headed Navy warship sped forward at full speed.
"That damn Yake actually cut my vacation short. I'll make him taste the Fist of Love." Garp picked his nose and said angrily.
Garp had been enjoying his vacation in Foosha Village when a phone call summoned him to Alabasta, only for him to arrive too late. According to the information, Yake had headed for Water 7 with a woman of unknown identity. Garp had finally gotten a chance to enjoy some family time, so naturally he was in a foul mood.
Luffy: Just say you want to beat me up.
"Report, Vice Admiral Garp! A suspicious vessel has been spotted. It appears to be a pirate ship. Its flag is unfamiliar, so it is likely a group of rookies who just set out to sea!" A Marine reported to Garp.
"Pirate rookies? What nonsense. Why is everyone shouting about wanting to become pirates? Bring me a cannonball. I need to loosen up." Garp had clearly thought of his unfilial grandson in Foosha Village, who insisted on becoming the Pirate King no matter how much Garp beat him.
"Hmm... killing intent. Looks like the Navy already knows." Yake, who had been resting with his eyes closed, suddenly opened them. His Observation Haki had detected something unusual.
"Robin, the Navy is here. Stay on the ship and don't move. I'll be right back." Yake spoke lazily. Robin, who was reading, merely nodded slightly and said nothing more.
"Electromagnetic Barrier!"
Yake released an Electromagnetic Barrier that enveloped the entire ship. A pale blue spherical barrier protected the vessel. The Electromagnetic Barrier could block attacks from flying objects while also providing powerful defense. Anyone who approached recklessly would be stunned by the electric current.
Yake then transformed into lightning and arrived on the Navy warship.
"Damn it, it's that old monster Garp." Yake was not afraid of Aokiji or Akainu, but he feared old monsters like Garp. The pressure of Garp's power could be felt from his presence alone.
"So it's you, Yake brat. You're the one who ended my vacation?" Garp took a closer look and saw that it was God Yake, the target Sengoku had ordered him to intercept.
"You brat, you actually dare call yourself a god? Get down here so I can teach you a proper lesson." Garp casually threw a cannonball at Yake. It came whistling through the air with a piercing shriek.
Yake lightly tilted his head to evade it, then slowly raised his hand. "Lightning Torrent."
Blue-white electric currents surged from Yake's hand like a tidal wave, covering the entire warship in an instant.
The Marines aboard screamed as they were bathed in lightning. Even those with stronger physiques were overwhelmed by intense numbness.
"Garp, that was just a greeting. This isn't a good place to fight. I'll be waiting for you in Mock Town." Once Yake saw that the ordinary Marines had lost their fighting ability, he transformed into electric particles and vanished.
"You damn brat, get back here!!" Garp stood amid the current as though taking a bath, seemingly unaffected in the slightest. He truly deserved his reputation as a Navy hero; his strength was unfathomable.
"Quick, increase speed! I'll definitely throw him into a Navy prison!! Uh... where is everyone?" Garp turned around and saw that the soldiers on deck were already lying there, convulsing nonstop. The warship was filled with the smell of grilled meat.
"You damn Yake brat, just you wait!!!"
