After enjoying the loving breakfast Yamato had made herself, Dawn strolled all the way to the little tavern Ida ran.
The tavern buzzed with noise. Brogy and Dorry were holding wine barrels bigger than people as they drank with Shanks. Nearly half a month had passed since the previous great battle, and Mansherry's healing abilities had long since fully healed Shanks's injuries.
Dawn casually pulled over a chair beside Shanks and sat down, picking up the wine jug on the table to pour himself a drink.
He took a sip, then looked at Shanks and asked a question that was nothing short of earth-shattering:
"Which are you choosing: killing your brother or murdering your father?"
Dawn was not sparing Shanks out of kindness. He simply wanted to watch the Figarland family—a filthy bloodline that had endured for eight hundred years—tear itself apart.
"Isn't that too cruel? Can I choose neither?"
Shanks scratched his red hair in distress, his face full of resistance.
"No. You lost, so you have to listen to me. Or do you want me to wipe out the Red Hair Pirates completely, so there are no loose ends? I don't want you jumping out at the last moment to meddle in a fight that doesn't concern you."
Shanks tipped back his head and drained his glass, then slammed the empty cup heavily onto the table. He let out a long sigh and replied weakly:
"You really gave me a difficult choice. I can't bring myself to kill my father. So when the time comes, leave Shamrock to me."
Circumstances were stronger than he was. With the safety of all his companions at stake, Shanks had no choice but to compromise.
Pururururu—
The instant Dawn stepped out of the tavern, the private Den Den Mushi in his pocket
