Both ancient beasts were covered in a layer of Haki Armor. Every collision produced a deafening boom, while the rocks beneath their feet shattered inch by inch.
The surrounding Beasts Pirates members watched with great interest, erupting into cheers from time to time.
On the platform, Kaido watched the battle below with utter boredom. A clash of this level could not even catch his eye. He tilted his head back and took a swig of strong liquor from his gourd, then stared blankly at the dark sky with clouded eyes.
King glanced at his captain and silently sighed. Ever since Charlotte Linlin's death, Brother Kaido had often been like this—staring at the sky for half a day at a time.
Suddenly, Kaido sprang to his feet, his sharp gaze locking onto a certain direction.
A white trail shot in from the distant horizon. A golden figure, wrapped in an enormous sonic boom cloud, arrived directly above him in the blink of an eye. The wild wind howled, making Kaido's cloak snap violently.
"I'm about to launch a final offensive against the World Government. When that time comes, I don't want to see the Beasts Pirates stabbing me in the back."
Dawn looked down coldly at Kaido, his tone utterly devoid of emotion, as though delivering an ultimatum.
Shanks had already agreed to join the war. Whitebeard was mild-tempered, and even if Blackbeard provoked him, he would not launch a sneak attack from behind. The only variable was this moody man before him.
To ensure nothing went wrong, he had no choice but to make this trip himself before the war officially began.
