Lucci had just wanted to test out his newly acquired ability on the spot when Adams, as if he had planned it all along, tossed over two more items.
Lucci caught them instinctively and found a detailed sea chart and a Log Pose.
"Don't rush to familiarize yourself with your ability yet. I have a mission for you."
Adams said, his tone returning to its usual commanding manner.
"Go to this place. Your mission is to drive away or eliminate all resistance forces on the island. Then, use your newly acquired ability to find a way to... move this island over here for me."
He pointed to the marked location on the sea chart and continued:
"According to intelligence, a so-called Playing Card Pirates crew is active in the waters near this island. They're mediocre at best, so take care of them while you're at it. This is the first practical mission I'm giving you to use your new ability."
Lucci understood instantly. This was both a mission and a trial tailored specifically for him, meant to help him become familiar with and master his Mythical Zoan ability.
Moving an island? This was undoubtedly the ultimate test of his control over Mythical Zoan power. He glanced at the clearly marked words "Clockwork Island" on the sea chart, nodded, and said nothing more.
"Understood."
As soon as the words fell, Lucci's figure flashed. He used Soru, turning into an afterimage that vanished into the shadows of the castle after several flickers.
Adams watched him leave. Just as he withdrew his gaze, a roar erupted from the direction of the enormous pit Bullet had smashed out behind the castle, one suppressed to its limit before bursting forth.
Immediately afterward, an incomparably powerful Conqueror's Haki surged into the sky like an erupting volcano.
