Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
The ceaseless collisions and explosions were like the end of the world. The massive island of Punk Hazard could finally no longer hold together. Amid earth-shattering roars and blinding light, it broke into pieces and became countless enormous fragments that slowly sank into the sea.
Adams floated in midair, coldly watching the island below meet its final destruction. Using gravity to control the surrounding seawater, he raised a terrifying tsunami hundreds of meters high, completely swallowing the island's wreckage and the Marine fleet that had rushed over to provide support only to be reduced to wreckage themselves, ensuring that no trace remained.
His figure was concealed by the towering waves. Just as the waves were about to close together, an Air Door silently opened behind him. Adams turned and stepped through without hesitation. The Air Door vanished afterward, as though he had never appeared.
Within the strange green space, Adams looked through the curtain-like spatial barrier at the sea outside. Saturn's completely unharmed body floated quietly on the surface, as if the devastating meteor impact and the sinking island had been nothing more than a slightly troublesome bath.
Adams sighed softly, and the last trace of wishful thinking in his heart disappeared. He clearly realized that with the current strength of his Conqueror's Haki, he could only slow Saturn's healing and could not fundamentally destroy that immortality.
Though the difference seemed no more than a sliver, that sliver was like an impassable chasm.
He had no intention of dragging Saturn into Hyperspace to study him slowly. Back on Kuja Island, he had learned from Granny Nyon that during the battle of God Valley, "Imu had once possessed Saturn and descended."
