The little fellow's eyes shone, tears swimming in them, and its tiny body trembled slightly. It was clearly terrified, yet it still beat its little wings and stood in front of the colorful strange bird, looking ready to face death.
The True-Self Perfect One poked the little fellow's cheek and chuckled. "So its name is Gaga. It looks quite tasty."
"No, Gaga isn't tasty at all!" the little fellow hastily protested.
Perhaps feeling its words were not convincing enough, the little fellow steeled its heart and decided to burn its boats and fight to the death.
Its wings fluttered as it hurled itself at the True-Self Perfect One like a moth into a flame, imagining it could knock him aside and seize the chance to escape with Gaga.
Who knew that the collision would only leave it dizzy, its head spinning? In the end, it landed crookedly on the True-Self Perfect One's palm.
"Does this count as walking straight into the net?" the True-Self Perfect One asked Hawkins.
Hawkins did not know whether to laugh or cry, but instead of answering, he tapped the alarm clock and smiled. "All right, come out. There's no danger now."
Hearing Hawkins's words, the Time Fairy poked its head through the hidden door. When it saw Gaga frozen in midair and another little fairy lying in the True-Self Perfect One's palm, it grew a little worried again.
"Don't worry!" Hawkins reassured it.
Although the True-Self Perfect One's allegiances were unclear and the extent of his strength was hard to gauge, he was not a bad person. That was the fundamental reason Hawkins had not stopped him from coming along.
In fact, Shabi's influence had played a large part in Hawkins initially treating the True-Self Perfect One as an enemy. But he could not keep
