Momo clutched Mark's clothes with both hands. Seeing him wipe out all those terrifying monsters in a single move, she could not help crying out in awe.

If someone had been deliberately flattering him, Mark would have scoffed.

Killing low-level monsters like these barely earned him any experience now. He might have to kill a million of them just to gain one experience point.

As players leveled up, they needed more and more experience, and each point became harder to earn. For example, killing a certain monster might grant one experience point at level ten, but only half a point at level eleven.
