Background / History

Tang San arrived at Notting Academy from Holy Soul Village alongside Bai Ye and Old Jack. Although his certificate identified him as possessing Innate Full Soul Power, the academy doorman ridiculed his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul. Yu Xiaogang intervened, deduced that Tang San possessed Twin Martial Souls, and accepted him as a disciple. Tang San responded by kneeling and kowtowing, embracing the belief that “a teacher for a day” is “a father for life.” 1

After Bai Ye repeatedly defeated him in Dorm Seven, Tang San’s confidence collapsed. He sought Yu Xiaogang for comfort, then revealed his second Martial Soul—the Clear Sky Hammer. This led Yu Xiaogang to identify Tang Hao as Tang San’s father, though he withheld that information from Tang San at the time. 3 4

Tang San’s rivalry with Bai Ye drove him to demand a Thousand-Year first Soul Ring. The attempt nearly killed him; Tang Hao secretly interrupted the absorption and later provided a safer Hundred-Year Datura Snake ring.
