Bai Ye's Soul Ring progression

Acquisition and Absorption

Soul Rings are obtained by killing Soul Beasts and absorbing the ring left behind. Bai Ye delivers the finishing blows for his first, third, and fourth documented rings before absorbing them through the Apocalypse Hammer. 6 12 15

Absorption depends on the user's physical and spiritual capacity rather than a universally fixed age limit. Bai Ye's body was tested as comparable to that of a Soul Master above level 30 before his third ring, enabling him to withstand a Thousand-Year first ring; Tang San failed the same attempt because his body did not meet the requirement. 5 7 8

High-level rings can inflict severe physical pain and spiritual backlash during absorption. Bai Ye endures the Clear Radiance Spirit Deer's assault on his consciousness while obtaining his third ring. 12

Soul Skills Granted to Bai Ye

Honor Blessing

Bai Ye's first Soul Skill enhances all attributes of targets within range when cast. The effect remains active even if a recipient leaves the casting range. 1 10

• The skill can empower multiple targets, including Titled Douluo. 20 21
• Bai Ye regularly feigns exhaustion after casting it to conceal its negligible actual cost and full effectiveness. 7 10 21
• Its enhancement allows lower-ranked allies such as Wang Sheng and Shrek students to defeat opponents normally far beyond their level. 9 26

Holy Light Protection

Bai Ye's second Soul Skill creates a Despair Shield around targets within range. The barrier lasts for one hour unless broken. 11

• At level 30, it makes Bai Ye immune to Soul Grandmaster-level attacks and able to resist a Soul Elder-level attack once. 11
• At Soul Ancestor level, it directly ignores Soul Ancestor-level attacks and can resist one stronger attack. 26
• Bai Ye can apply the barrier to allies, though he deliberately withholds it from Tang San during the battle with the Unrivaled Dragon Snake. 26

Purification

Bai Ye's third Soul Skill permanently removes negative conditions already affecting a target. It additionally grants one hour of immunity to poison, elemental effects, and control abilities. 12

• It allows Bai Ye's group to pass through Dugu Bo's poison formation unharmed. 12
• Dugu Bo's poison cannot affect Bai Ye while Purification is active. 13
• The skill completely removes Dugu Bo's accumulated toxins and other negative conditions, contributing to his breakthrough to level 92. 15

Rapid Healing

Bai Ye's fourth Soul Skill heals injuries and restores Soul Power as a group effect. 15

• A target who still has even one breath remaining can be restored to full health and full Soul Power. 15
• It costs ten times more Soul Power than Bai Ye's other skills, but he can secretly cast it on himself and recover his own reserves. 16
• It restores Zhao Wuji after the Martial Soul Fusion Skill of Meng Shu and Chao Tianxiang leaves him near death. 26
