Background

Yang Feng is an orphan raised in Old Jack’s home in Holy Soul Village. After transmigrating from Blue Star, he retains knowledge of the original storyline and resolves to surpass Tang San by exploiting its future events 1.

During the village’s Martial Soul Awakening Ceremony, he uses the Fate Diary System to reveal Tang San’s concealed Clear Sky Hammer. The exposure causes Tang San to join Spirit Hall, changing the original timeline and fully awakening Yang Feng’s system 1.

Yang Feng takes the academy placement left behind by Tang San and enrolls at Nuoding Academy as a work-study student. There, he conceals the true origin of the Imitation Martial Soul Mirror by allowing Yu Xiaogang to mistake it for an unprecedented mutation 2 3.

After graduating alongside Xiao Wu, Yang Feng enters Shrek Academy, where he begins assembling a replacement for the original Shrek Seven Devils. He recruits Ma Hongjun, cooperates with Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong, and becomes the group’s tactical leader 7 18.

Personality

Yang Feng is ambitious, calculating, and highly conscious of the advantage his foreknowledge provides. He treats information as a weapon, repeatedly using diary entries to alter alliances, expose enemies, and pressure stronger figures into retreat 1 8 27.

He habitually conceals his strongest assets. At Shrek, he presents copied Martial Souls as though they were his own mutated Martial Soul, keeping the Mirror’s copying mechanism hidden even from allies and mentors 7 9.

Despite his manipulative methods, Yang Feng is protective of people he considers his own. He promises to repay Old Jack, distributes Soul Power-enhancing potions to strengthen his team, protects Xiao Wu from the future he believes Tang San would bring her, and risks himself to cure Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan 2 23 28 32 34.
