Points Tournament

Shrek Academy’s Points Tournament is the academy’s primary documented graduation system: students must accumulate enough points to graduate. 8

• The tournament has three formats; two involve life-or-death combat, while the third emphasizes Martial Soul sparring and control. 8
• The solo gauntlet format pits two seven-person teams against each other one combatant at a time; the winner remains on the arena to face the next opponent. 11
• Registration normally requires a full seven-person roster. 11
• Flender permits Yang Feng’s incomplete group to register temporarily, while warning that five members would be disadvantaged against seven. 11

History

Yang Feng, Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong arrive at Shrek Academy during a period of upheaval. Rumors confirm that Dai Mubai and Oscar have defected to Spirit Hall; Flender subsequently announces their expulsion and directs the newcomers toward Ma Hongjun, the remaining notable student from the former group. 6

The academy becomes the base for Yang Feng’s emerging team. Flender assists the group’s attempt to enter the Points Tournament despite its incomplete roster, while Zhao Wuji tests Yang Feng, Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, Ning Rongrong, and Ma Hongjun in a five-versus-one assessment. Though Zhao Wuji easily defeats them, the battle establishes their potential as a coordinated team. 11 14

Shrek’s conflict with Spirit Hall becomes overt when Tang San arrives bearing a challenge letter and accompanied by the defectors Dai Mubai and Oscar. To avoid escalating a dispute with Spirit Hall, Flender restrains the academy’s students. Yang Feng later defeats Tang San in their scheduled duel by switching from the Soft Bone Rabbit form to the Evil Fire Phoenix form. 19 20

After Spirit Hall expels Tang San, he returns with Tang Hao and requests admission to Shrek. Flender accepts him only temporarily and remains suspicious of his intentions; the students’ outward acceptance is influenced by fear of Tang Hao’s strength. 24

Spirit Hall later infiltrates the academy to investigate Yang Feng and Tang San. Yang Feng reports the intrusion to Flender, who gathers the student body and later places Tang San under surveillance before ending the investigation for lack of evidence. 26 28

Tang San secretly poisons Yang Feng’s Martial Soul, forcing Yang Feng to leave for Sunset Forest in search of a cure. The academy suspects Tang San but cannot act without proof. When Yang Feng returns cured, the Fate Diary System publicly exposes Tang San’s poisoning and his attempt to replace Yang Feng as captain, turning the academy against him. 30 34
