"Goodbye, Professor McGonagall!"

At the entrance to the Leaky Cauldron, Li Wei waved goodbye to Professor McGonagall.

"Goodbye, Li Wei. Don't forget what I told you!"

As they parted, Professor McGonagall did not forget to remind Li Wei to keep her words in mind.

Only after Li Wei nodded earnestly did Professor McGonagall leave with peace of mind, stepping into a secluded corner of the street and using Apparition to depart.

I'm alone again.

After seeing Professor McGonagall off, that thought could not help but rise in Li Wei's heart. He shook his head and cast it from his mind before heading back into the Leaky Cauldron.

"Li Wei, you must be hungry. Come try your future staff meal and see what you think of my cooking."

Seeing Li Wei return to the tavern, Boss Tom smiled and beckoned him over.

When Li Wei approached, he saw a tray on the table beside Boss Tom, piled high with a sumptuous meal:

A fried egg with a runny yolk and crisp, browned edges, a roasted chicken leg glistening with oil, a mouthwatering steak, fresh cherry tomatoes and pear slices, plus a huge glass of pumpkin juice!

Good heavens—if Boss Tom had not said it was a staff meal, Li Wei would have thought he had stumbled into Hogwarts' welcome feast!

"Boss, isn't this a little too lavish?!"

"It smells delicious just from here. Boss, your cooking is amazing!"

Li Wei exclaimed in an exaggerated tone.

"It's not that good!"

Li Wei's praise made Boss Tom wave his hand bashfully, his old face flushing slightly as he hurried off to attend to other customers.

Thanking Boss Tom once more in his heart for the warm hospitality, Li Wei sat down and dug in. After tasting Boss Tom's cooking, he carried his tray to the kitchen sink, intending to take a look at his future work environment.

But the moment he entered the kitchen, Li Wei felt some regret.

He should have known. There were no kitchen hygiene standards in the wizarding world, let alone food safety and sanitation licenses.

Thus, the Leaky Cauldron's kitchen was inevitably somewhat shabby. Although the cookware was spotless from frequent washing, the floor, walls, and even the ventilation areas were coated in a thick layer of black grease, making them hard to look at.

Back in his room, Li Wei shut the door tight, slid the bolt into place, and let out a long breath.

The first MOD triggered when Li Wei saw Professor McGonagall cast Langlock: the Spell MOD.

When he opened the detailed description of the Spell MOD, its effects appeared before him.

"First of all, once this Spell MOD activated, it directly upgraded my spellcasting talent by one tier, reaching the good level!"

"Now I don't have to worry about failing to learn Aguamenti or Scourgify."

"Professor McGonagall, I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you. I can definitely handle this part-time job. I can't let you take me home."

Li Wei muttered as he continued reading through the Spell MOD's description. Three effects were clearly listed there:

Spell Shop: Here, Li Wei could spend a system currency called "credits" to exchange for every magical spell that had appeared in the world of Harry Potter.

Li Wei scrolled to the very bottom of the shop list and found some utterly unfamiliar ancient magic—immensely powerful, even without an upper limit. However, the credits required to exchange for them were astronomical!

And he did not even have a single credit right now. Judging by the name, he would probably have to wait until he enrolled at Hogwarts before he could earn any.

Lastly came the Spell Training Ground, essentially an enhanced Room of Requirement that was perfectly suited for spell training and practice.

However, training inside also required credits, so Li Wei could not use it yet.

Next came the Space MOD loaded by the system when Professor McGonagall used Apparition.

The Storage Space was about one cubic meter in size. Time inside was completely frozen, its shape could be altered, and according to the smoky text, he could also spend credits to expand its capacity.

The cauldron equipment taking up room, old clothes and school uniforms, as well as books and textbooks, were all immediately placed into the Storage Space. The room suddenly became much more spacious.

Besides providing Li Wei with a Storage Space, the Space MOD also contained the Space Spell Shop.

There, Li Wei could likewise spend credits to purchase spatial spells, even methods for brewing Floo Powder, making Portkeys, setting up teleportation arrays, and creating space gates.

However, aside from the spatial spells and spatial items that already existed in the wizarding world, the credits required for spells and item-making methods that had never appeared in the original work were absurdly high.

"Credits, credits, credits! They really are a student's lifeblood!"

Li Wei complained greedily. Once he started school, he was determined to become the ultimate grinder!
