Li Wei finished teaching the third-year students Defense Against the Dark Arts and announced the end of class.
Surrounded by the young wizards, he had just stepped out of the classroom when he ran into a crowd of second-years gathered at the entrance to the Test Chamber.
"What are you all doing here? Is someone attempting the challenge?"
Seeing that there were quite a few Gryffindor students in the crowd, Li Wei asked Neville Longbottom, whom he knew well.
"Professor Li... Professor Wickens, it's Harry. He said he wants to take the challenge!"
When Neville Longbottom heard Li Wei address him in front of everyone, he stammered nervously. Remembering to use Li Wei's formal title, he answered stiffly.
"Don't be nervous." Li Wei smiled warmly at Neville. Gryffindor's Sword Saint had never lacked true courage; he merely lacked the right guidance.
"Where's Harry? If he wants to take the challenge, why isn't he stepping forward?"
Li Wei looked through the crowd. The second- and third-year students were packed together, tall and short, chattering nonstop, and he simply could not spot where Harry was standing.
"Harry, how's your preparation? Do you have the Alchemy Amulet and the Invisibility Cloak with you?"
In a corner of the crowd, Ron was checking Harry Potter's equipment like a knight's squire.
"How well have you memorized the potion-brewing steps, spells, and other knowledge I told you to remember?"
"Especially the potions. If you can't brew them when the time comes, you won't be able to quickly clear the first stage of the second challenge!"
