Fantastic Transformation

After the excitement, the crowd gradually dispersed under the professors' arrangements.

Hermione Granger did not leave. She had been watching the radiant Li Wei from within the crowd.

"Li Wei, you..."

She hurried over to him, yet did not know what to say.

Had he been hurt?

The professors had already checked. Li Wei was completely unharmed; it was the Slytherins who had been beaten black and blue by a first-year wizard like him, losing all face!

Don't be sad?

Li Wei's words had fully demonstrated that only those with courage in their hearts were truly strong. Malfoy and the others' filthy insults had not hurt him at all.

But Malfoy and the others had attacked first, then insulted them. Li Wei had acted for everyone, for justice and honor!

Hermione was momentarily speechless. With her personality, she truly did not know how to judge Li Wei's "reckless" actions!

In her view, Li Wei should have immediately told the professors that Malfoy had cast a curse and spewed insults, then let the professors punish Malfoy.

But Li Wei's actions and speech just now had been far too righteous!

So righteous that Hermione could not utter a word of criticism. Instead, she felt proud. Li Wei, standing amid the golden sunset glow, seemed to shine like a hero!

Hermione fell silent, but Li Wei smiled gently at her.

"Thank you for supporting me, Hermione!"

"You will always be my most sincere friend!"

Li Wei's straightforward words dissolved the countless thoughts in Hermione's heart, leaving the young witch with nothing but joy and happiness.

"Take a walk with me!"

Li Wei extended the invitation to Hermione in a leisurely tone.

"Okay." How could Hermione refuse an invitation from her best friend?

Walking shoulder to shoulder, the two left the courtyard, crossed the lawn beneath the sunset clouds, and arrived at the shimmering shore of the Black Lake.

Along the way, they did not discuss magical knowledge. Instead, they talked about their lives.

Li Wei spoke of his experiences working at the orphanage and in Diagon Alley. Hermione spoke of her family's dental clinic and even warned Li Wei that eating too much candy would ruin his teeth!

"Li Wei, I want to invite you to stay at my house during the holidays!"

Hermione turned toward him. The lake shimmered beside her profile as she earnestly invited Li Wei.

"Sure." Li Wei did not politely refuse. Instead, he asked with concern.

"But will your parents agree?"

"My family listens to me." Hermione raised her little chin and declared with the confidence of a grown-up.

"Sorry for the trouble, Hermione! But I eat a lot. Won't you throw me out?"

Li Wei smiled warmly, his heart filled with warmth.

He silently put aside his plans to settle down in the magical world for the time being, put on a pitiful expression with his delicate, adorable face, and looked at her eagerly.

"You're just a child. No matter how much you eat, how much could you possibly eat? My parents make quite a bit every day..."

Hermione said dismissively.

Halfway through, she noticed the mischievous smile on Li Wei's face and immediately realized he was teasing her. Fuming, she began chasing him down!

The two played and frolicked by the Black Lake, having so much fun that they lost track of time. Only when dinner was nearly due did they remember to head for the Great Hall.

"There's Astronomy tonight. The Scottish Highlands get cold at night, so wear more!"

Near the entrance to the Great Hall, as they parted, Li Wei unusually showed concern for someone.

"You too. And don't be so impulsive in the future!"

Hermione softened her tone as she reminded Li Wei.

What could Li Wei say? He could only sigh inwardly that Hermione was indeed Hermione, always with her own way of doing things and her own convictions.

He sat down at the long table. Along the way, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students had warmly greeted Li Wei. Some older students he did not even know smiled and praised and encouraged him.

"Li Wei, you did amazingly!"

"Those Slytherins deserved a harsh lesson!"

"Your courage stood for justice. You did nothing wrong!"

Even the Gryffindors across a long table raised their cups to Li Wei from afar, toasting his courage and justice, his speech and battle that afternoon!

Only the Slytherin table remained silent. Their so-called pure-blood status and so-called honor had been beaten into the dust by Li Wei!

But no matter what, Hogwarts belonged to Li Wei today!

Li Wei did not take those praises too seriously. Leading the crowd and following the crowd were always two different things.

He took out some Moomoo Milk and added a piece of fish steak from the table, first feeding Nami, the little thief cat who had returned from who knew where and was rubbing against his ankle, acting spoiled.

Then, while eating, he examined the new MOD he had loaded during Transfiguration class—Fantastic Transformation.

[Three: Obtain the essence of a magical creature. This will determine the result of the transformation.]

[Four: Achieve complete control over magical power.]

[Five: Master Occlumency and Legilimency, or other magic that can control the mind and conquer powerful beastly instincts.]

[Once all five conditions are met, you may transform into a magical creature Animagus!]

Five conditions? Li Wei calculated inwardly.

Condition four: complete control over magical power. Li Wei, who had awakened the Combat Casting specialty and possessed an Outstanding-grade talent for spells, had already achieved it.

The magical power within his body had been completely tamed by him. He could wield it with ease.

Conditions one and five—Transfiguration above level seven, Occlumency, and Legilimency—could all be achieved through the spell MOD. They were not too difficult; they merely required time and credits.

If he asked the professors for help, perhaps he would not even need to spend credits.

Condition two: complete the preparations for an ordinary Animagus transformation.

This one was fairly standard. It simply meant following the steps to train as an ordinary Animagus.

However, if he completed preparations for the other conditions, then when he transformed, he would become a magical creature rather than an ordinary animal.

Still, fulfilling condition two would not be easy. Training as an ordinary Animagus alone was already time-consuming and exhausting, and completing it required luck!

As for condition three, Li Wei did not understand it.

What did it mean to obtain the essence of a magical creature?

And that condition would determine what magical creature he could transform into.

If it meant obtaining something like a magical creature's blood essence, Li Wei could buy it in the shop or exchange credits for it.

But where was he supposed to obtain something as vague as essence?

Did he have to rely on his Magical Creature Affinity talent, living and eating alongside magical creatures to comprehend it?

Li Wei could not make heads or tails of it.

Still, that did not stop him from already imagining what magical creature he might transform into!

Would it be an Occamy that could grow large or small?

Or a Zhouwu capable of Apparition?

Or perhaps a Qilin that could distinguish good from evil and discern the treacherous from the worthy?

No matter what magical creature it was, the value of its abilities seemed greater than that of ordinary animals.

Ordinary animals did have the advantage of being less easily noticed, while wizards could achieve similar effects to magical creature abilities through magic.

But one had to look at things from a developmental perspective.

Li Wei believed that since transforming into a magical creature was so difficult, once combined with a wizard's magical power, it would definitely produce extraordinary results!
