Astronomy
It was indeed a bit chilly at Hogwarts Astronomy Tower at night.
Professor Sinistra, who was in charge of the Astronomy, gave the young wizards from the four houses a brief explanation of the course content and applications of Astronomy.
After that, everyone began observing the planets in the solar system and learning how to record celestial phenomena and lunar phases, and draw constellation maps.
Although observing stars may seem far removed from magic and everyday life, Astronomy is actually quite useful.
Whether it's spells, magical rituals, Divination, cultivating magical plants, or brewing high-level Potions, all require the application of Astronomy knowledge.
What intrigued Levi the most was the moon, planets, and the stars shining in the night sky of the Harry Potter world.
In this magical world, is it a real planet, or a projection of some special entity?
Especially in the world of ordinary people, who have already landed on the moon and launched Voyager, what are the differences between the celestial bodies they see and the planets they see through the eyes of wizards?
The starry sky is one of the topics that the Department of Mysteries of the Ministry of Magic has been studying.
It's unknown what achievements the wizards made in their exploration of the outer world.
The boundless starry sky signifies endless exploration.
Levi finished his Astronomy with great curiosity, only to find out upon returning to his dormitory that he would have Potions the next day.
To be honest, he was a little afraid to face Professor Snape.
After all, he had just beaten up his student, and bringing up the old matter again stirred up the professor's painful memories.
His talent for Potions was the lowest, so he inevitably felt a little guilty when facing Professor Snape.
But when Professor Snape came to class the next day, he seemed completely unaffected by what had happened the day before.
He remained that cold, sinister Old Bat, relentlessly spewing venom whenever he caught a student making a mistake.
Seeing that Professor Snape was still the same as before, Levi secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
When brewing Potions, Levi was still paired with Anthony Goldstein, and they were still brewing a potion to treat boils.
This time, however, at Professor Snape's request, everyone switched jobs with their partners.
The same applies to Levi's group; instead of Anthony handling the materials, Levi is in charge of brewing the medicine.
Hopefully my strategy will work!
Feeling the lack of any inspiration, Levi tried his best to Mimic the steps Anthony had taken when brewing Potions and began to brew the Potions.
"Sizzle~"
Levi tossed two Porcupine Quills into the cauldron, where they hissed and sizzled. After stirring it clockwise five times, Levi waved his Wand to finish.
The Potions in the cauldron suddenly changed, turning a clear blue as required by the textbook, and pink mist began to rise from it.
Upon closer inspection, there appears to be a barely perceptible dark red tinge within the blue liquid.
Professor Snape floated over, fanned away the medicinal mist, smelled it, then scooped out a little and examined it carefully.
"There are impurities; the material did not react fully in the crucible; the timing of adding it was incorrect!"
"Mr. Levi Kearns, it seems your potion-making skills aren't as outstanding as your eloquence!"
Snape commented that anyone could hear the sarcasm in his words.
However, he didn't deduct points from Levi's score. Instead, after pointing out Levi's mistake, he floated away like a black bat.
"Levi, don't be discouraged, you've done a great job!"
As Levi's partner, Anthony Goldstein comforted Levi.
"It's okay, imperfection just means I still have room for improvement, right?"
Levi responded with a smile, completely ignoring Professor Snape's sarcasm, and was genuinely happy about it.
Even though the potion he brewed wasn't as perfect as the Anthony brewed before, it was still of a good standard.
This proves that his strategy was correct:
Through diligent study and Mimic of outstanding individuals, even if his Potions talent is extremely poor, he can still make up for it through hard work and effective methods.
This is indeed the case with the post-class credit evaluation.
Although he didn't receive an excellent grade, Levi's performance in this class was still considered above average at the good level, earning him 90 credits.
After the Potions, there's a Herbology in the morning.
The Stinging Nettle that Professor Sprout introduced in the last lesson is now ready for the lesson.
So after changing into aprons and Dragonhide Gloves, the lesson involved Levi and his classmates doing practical work: harvesting and drying nettles.
This was supposed to be a very simple thing, but the young wizards managed to make a lot of mistakes.
The nettles that Seamus Finigan was drying exploded for some unknown reason and then caught fire.
Fortunately, Levi reacted quickly, extinguishing the flames with a single move of "Aguamenti." Otherwise, very few of the Stinging Nettle that needed to be dried would have survived.
Neville Longbottom wore his Dragonhide Gloves incorrectly, leaving a small patch of skin exposed. As a result, he was stung so badly while picking Stinging Nettle that he almost bled.
Professor Sprout applied Dittany to him and told him to rest.
But the strong-willed Neville, despite Baby-Doll Eyes tears, still managed to finish picking and drying the Stinging Nettle.
The Gryffindor swordsman may be somewhat cowardly, but at his core, he is never lacking in true courage and strength.
After a busy morning, I washed up and passed by the Ravenclaw Common Room and the Great Hall, where I heard the young wizards talking about Flying class.
Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff Flying class are on Wednesday afternoon, while the other two schools' Flying class are tomorrow afternoon.
As Levi carried Nami, who had also taken a fragrant bath, past the young wizards, all he heard were their boasts.
Some people said they almost crashed into an airplane while riding Flying broomstick!
Some said they rode Flying broomstick through the clouds and almost caught a bird.
Anyone who didn't know better would think that wizards could accomplish manned spaceflight using only Flying broomstick!
Levi found it amusing; he and Hermione had also learned about the performance of Flying broomstick when they were doing their homework.
Unless Flying broomstick is enchanted with a special spell, the highest Flying broomstick can fly is only a few hundred meters, and most of the time it flies within the city.
To enter the stratosphere and troposphere, not only can Flying broomstick not withstand the violent air currents, but even wizards cannot endure the cold at high altitudes.
However, listening to the young wizards' discussion, Levi also became interested in Flying class.
Although he didn't particularly like Flying broomstick as a mode of transportation, flying has always been one of humanity's dreams.
If only there were some kind of magic that would allow wizards to fly freely like birds. I wonder if my Fantastic Beasts Animagus form can fly?
Levi thought to himself, full of anticipation.
