A Spirit Formation master built formations the way a mason built a house: with Spirit Seals as bricks and a Formation Diagram as the blueprint.

The higher the grade of the Formation Diagram, the more Spirit Seals it required and the greater its power.

But forming and controlling Spirit Seals both depended on a Spirit Formation master's talent.

Futu Yun lacked that talent.

Even with his vast reserves of spiritual energy, he could not control it with such precision.

So he took the opposite approach and improved the quality of the Spirit Seals themselves.

He could already gather the various forces of heaven and earth into Divine Abilities he called "Seals."

For example, he had formed the Undying Thunder Seal from Black Divine Lightning and Undying Bird blood,

as well as a Divine Ability Seal formed through an enhanced Four Divine Beasts Constellation Scripture.

Each of these "Seals" was a Divine Ability in its own right.

Futu Yun went further and used them as Spirit Seals to set up Spirit Formations.

In that respect, it was somewhat like Flame Emperor Xiao Yan's Buddha's Fury Lotus.

Buddha's Fury Lotus was a battle technique Xiao Yan had created himself.

It fused multiple flames to produce tremendous destructive power, which changed with the types and strengths of the flames he combined.

Its potential was nearly limitless, and it had once been Xiao Yan's last trump card.

Futu Yun's "Seals" worked in a similar way.

Each "Seal" was an independent Divine Ability, much like the Heavenly Flames in the Flame Emperor's hands.

But when Futu Yun brought those "Seals" together in a Spirit Formation, their power rose to an entirely different level.

These were no ordinary Spirit Seals. They were Divine Abilities he had mastered himself.

Controlling them therefore required no talent for Spirit
