Background

Lu Ming was born with the spiritual power and knowledge of an adult, granting him exceptional learning ability, chakra control, and genjutsu talent from childhood. Knowing the future destruction awaiting the Uchiha, he resolved to prevent the clan’s massacre by making it too powerful for Konoha’s leadership to target. 3

During the Third Shinobi World War, he served primarily as a medical ninja and saved numerous wounded Uchiha. His work made him a stabilizing figure within the clan and earned him prestige that began to rival Fugaku’s. When Ōnoki’s Dust Release threatened a surrounded Uchiha unit, Lu Ming answered with Lightning Release: Kirin, badly injuring the Third Tsuchikage and forcing Iwagakure to retreat. He was promoted to Jonin after the war. 1 3

Using the loyalty of the Uchiha he had saved and trained, Lu Ming built a hidden faction around elite Three-Tomoe Sharingan users. He concluded that Fugaku’s compromises and Konoha’s deliberate political marginalization had pushed the clan toward collapse. 2 3

Lu Ming secured Shisui’s support through a three-year pact: if he failed to improve the Uchiha’s position within three years, he would surrender leadership and accept Shisui’s judgment. Shisui agreed on the condition that Lu Ming would not provoke a civil war. 2

He later forced a clan vote against Fugaku, backed by Shisui and forty-three Three-Tomoe elites. Although he initially promised a nonviolent transfer of power, he used killing intent and threats of crippling dissenters to consolidate the vote. After defeating Fugaku in the Great Arena, he was recognized as the new Uchiha clan head. 10 15
