After securing Jian Ruyu’s recommendation, he entered the Desolate Soil for the retest and drew Chen Tai’s rebuke for claiming too much glory.

• Deng Qing proved his strength against Zhang Yan, traveled to Liangshan, and gathered Blazing Sun Grass to earn a Martial Origin Pill.
• Deng Qing killed the Yellow-Browed Guest and his companions after they tried to seize his haul, while Du Wencheng and his allies began investigating the deaths.

Deng Qing rose to second place among the Inspectors, survived a beast tide, and killed the conspirators who had targeted him. Sent to the Front Line, he led his group through a deadly mission, pinned down a Wasteland Vein, and secured rewards before moving to the Horse Farm to continue training.

• Deng Qing exposed his strength during the Intermediate Test, placed second, and used recordings to clear himself of suspicion in the deaths of Huang Yunfan and Song Wuji.
• Deng Qing learned Collapse Step from Old Han and, after the examination became a wartime assignment, led the students through a Beast Tide toward their mission.

Deng Qing survived a pursuit, entered the Underground Palace, and uncovered the Donghuang Cult’s blood schemes while rescuing Zhang Yan. The arc ended with Zhang Yan and his senior brothers raising the Vein Dragon as Huang Changhe demanded Deng Qing’s help.

• Deng Qing joined Xiao Jinglin’s expedition into Tiger Leaping Gorge, where a Beast Tide scattered the troops and he hunted Qi Beasts alone.
• After Deng Qing’s blood led cloaked pursuers to him, he broke through to Bone Tempering Third Layer and killed the attackers before returning to camp.
• Jian Ruyu struck Huang Changhe and warned the gathered martial artists against causing trouble, then Deng Qing entered the Nameless Underground Palace with Xiao Jinglin’s group.
• Cao Chun and Huang Bingyao accused Deng Qing of being a spy, but Deng Qing defeated Cao Chun’s guards, stopped Huang Bingyao, and Xiao Jinglin killed Cao Chun.
• Deng Qing helped Su Yun uncover the palace’s formations, gained the Blood Control Art, and used Zhang Yan’s blood to locate him before setting out disguised as Xie Xuan.
• Deng Qing infiltrated the Donghuang Cult, killed Xiong Zhen, and rescued Zhang Yan, who said he had been guarding Li Dashan and insisted on returning to complete his task.
