Wanda: What Mouth?

The Avengers stepped out of the portal.

Red light washed over their faces. They understood that fragments of two universes overlapped here.

"Has no one from the other side arrived?" Black Widow asked, scanning their surroundings.

Suddenly, space rippled nearby!

Another portal was forming.

"Stay sharp!" Tony immediately raised his repulsor.

Everyone readied themselves for battle. Wanda had already raised both hands.

The instant the portal opened fully, a figure in a blue-and-black uniform stepped through first.

Spider-Man blurted out, "Who's that?"

The hero who emerged was someone none of them had seen before. He was Black, and his uniform looked somewhat like Blue Marvel's.

Captain Carter followed, along with Black Bolt in a black uniform, a Black man in sorcerer's robes, Mr. Fantastic, and a bald man in a wheelchair.

One unfamiliar figure after another appeared.

And so the heroes of two universes met where their worlds intersected.

Kara narrowed her eyes and swiftly scanned them with her Super-Sight.

"They aren't enemies, but they aren't exactly friends either."

The Chaos Magic around Wanda's hands did not fade. "Let's try talking first."

Tony opened his faceplate and stepped forward. "Let's see how they act."

The heroes of both universes faced off, each side studying the other.

Spider-Man from the Main Universe could not help muttering, "Is that all the people they brought?"

Reed Richards heard him and immediately stepped forward, sweeping an elastic arm through the air.

"Listen, young man. We're more than enough. We're the most powerful team of superheroes on Earth."

He turned confidently to present the silent man in black behind him.

"Take him, for example. All Black Bolt has to do is open his mouth, and you'll be destroyed."
