Inside Avengers Base

"Are you ready?" Xiao Han asked in a low voice.

Tony nervously swallowed. "God, I hope our calculations were right."

Steve gripped his shield tightly. "We believe in you."

Doctor Banner's eyes shimmered with tears. "For Natasha..."

Thor raised Mjolnir. "For Asgard!"

Rocket Raccoon hid behind Thor. "Hurry up, I hate this feeling of waiting!"

Just as everyone focused their full attention, Nebula silently took several steps back, turned, and vanished into the shadows of the corridor.

Xiao Han caught the sight, but merely curled his lips into a faint smile without exposing her.

He knew that even if he stopped her, bigger trouble would still come. It was better to let her do it and deal with everything at once himself.

"Then..."

Xiao Han took a deep breath and slowly raised his right hand, wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. "Let everyone come back."

A crisp snap echoed through the laboratory.

In an instant, six-colored light burst from the gauntlet, dazzling beyond compare.

A wave of energy spread outward from Xiao Han, passing through walls, through the atmosphere, through the entire universe...

Xiao Han could feel the power reshaping reality as countless lives that had been erased returned.

His Super Hearing caught cries of shock from around the world.

Missing loved ones suddenly appeared beside dinner tables, empty streets were instantly packed with people, and vanished patients suddenly lay in hospital beds.

"It worked!" Clint shakily pulled out his phone. The screen showed a missed call from his wife.

Doctor Banner's monitoring equipment flashed wildly. "Global life-sign readings are surging! They're back!"

Yet at that very moment of celebration, the entire base suddenly shook violently, and the ceiling lights came crashing down.

"What's going on?" Tony swiftly activated his armor. "F.R.I.D.A.Y., scan the situation outside!"

"Sir, large-scale spatial distortion detected." F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s voice was cut off by a deafening explosion.

The eastern wall of the base was ripped apart by some tremendous force, revealing the overcast sky outside and a massive fleet hovering there.

"That is..." Steve's pupils abruptly contracted.

A ring-shaped mothership larger than a mountain hovered above the base, surrounded by countless Chitauri fighter craft.

And on the open ground before the base, a purple-skinned giant sat upon a rock, with a golden double-bladed sword planted beside him.

"Thanos." Thor's voice brimmed with hatred.

But what shocked them even more was Nebula standing beside Thanos—the very Nebula who had just disappeared.

"You humans truly think you can change fate?" Thanos's deep voice rang out.

"I reshaped the universe, yet you dare to attempt to reverse it all."

Tony swiftly analyzed the situation. "F.R.I.D.A.Y., energy readings!"

"Temporal distortion detected. Thanos's fleet arrived on Earth directly through a time jump!"

Thanos raised his double-bladed sword and pointed it at the Avengers. "Today, I will make you watch this universe be completely cleansed. Not half—every last one!"

As his words fell, countless Outriders poured down from the mothership like a tidal wave, while Chitauri aircraft filled the sky like a swarm of locusts.

Steve immediately entered combat mode. "Everyone, prepare for battle!"

Thor summoned lightning. "For revenge!"

At that moment, Xiao Han slowly raised his right hand, and the stones on the Infinity Gauntlet lit up once more. "Stand back."

His voice was not loud, yet everyone stopped moving.

Thanos narrowed his eyes as well, warily staring at this unfamiliar human.

"Who are you?" Thanos demanded.

Xiao Han did not answer. Instead, he looked at the fleet in the sky, then at the vast army behind Thanos. "That's all?"

Thanos froze. "What?"

"I said..."

Xiao Han suddenly vanished from where he stood. The next second, he was already in front of Thanos, his right hand clad in the Infinity Gauntlet gripping Thanos by the throat.

"Is this all the soldiers your army has?"

Thanos reacted swiftly, his sword instantly slashing toward Xiao Han's neck, only to be stopped by an invisible force field one centimeter from his skin.

Xiao Han released him. A red flash gleamed in his eyes, and Heat Vision pierced directly through Thanos's shoulder.

"Agh!"

Thanos roared and swung his clenched left fist at Xiao Han's face.

That punch could have knocked Hulk senseless, yet the instant it touched Xiao Han's skin, the sound of Thanos's own finger bones cracking rang out.

"That's impossible!" Thanos staggered back in shock.

Xiao Han did not pursue him. Instead, he raised his head toward the fleet in the sky. "Since everyone is here..."

He raised the Infinity Gauntlet, and all six stones simultaneously bloomed with blinding light.

"Then disappear together."

A snap louder than before rang across the battlefield.

In an instant, Thanos's entire fleet scattered on the wind like a sand painting. Thousands upon thousands of Outriders and Chitauri soldiers turned to ash.

Thanos lowered his head and stared at his gradually disintegrating body, his eyes filled with disbelief.

"I... am... destiny..." Before he could finish, his entire body had already turned to dust and drifted away.

The battlefield instantly fell silent.

The Avengers stared at everything in dumbfounded shock.

The enemy they had risked their lives and still failed to defeat had been taken care of by Xiao Han with a single snap?

Xiao Han slowly descended to the ground, the stones on the Infinity Gauntlet already dimmed.

He looked at the stunned Avengers. "Problem solved."

Tony was the first to recover. "God, who the hell are you?"

"I told you," Xiao Han said with a faint smile. "You can call me Superman."

Steve stepped forward and held out his hand. "No matter who you are, thank you for saving this world."

Xiao Han shook his hand. "No need to thank me."

Doctor Banner looked at the Infinity Gauntlet on Xiao Han's hand. "Those stones..."

"As agreed, the Space, Mind, and Time Stones are mine." Xiao Han removed those three stones and returned the gauntlet, along with the remaining Power, Reality, and Soul Stones, to Tony.

"You can handle these."

Tony carefully accepted the gauntlet. "We'll keep them safe. Wait, you're leaving?"

Xiao Han nodded. "My mission is complete. It's time to return to my own universe."

Thor strode forward. "Wait, friend! At least tell us where you're going!"

Xiao Han smiled without answering, merely raising a hand to draw a golden portal.

Through the other side of the portal, the Avengers saw New York in 2012.

"The Time Stone needs to be returned. If fate allows, we'll meet again." Xiao Han turned and stepped through the portal, his figure gradually disappearing.

The battle had ended too quickly. Doctor Strange had not even had time to open a portal.

Just before he completely left, Tony suddenly shouted, "Hey! If our world gets into trouble again, can we ask you for help?"

Xiao Han's voice came from within the portal. "Find Strange. He knows what to do."

The portal closed, leaving the Avengers looking at one another.

"So..."

Scott scratched his head. "Were we just saved by a Superman?"

Clint looked at the phone in his hand. Its screen showed a photo of him with his family. "No matter what, he helped us get back the people we lost."

Tony stared at the Infinity Gauntlet thoughtfully. "F.R.I.D.A.Y., record all data related to Superman. I have a feeling we'll need his help again."

Meanwhile, above New York in the 2012 movie universe, Xiao Han reappeared. The system notification sounded once again.

[Ding! Host has completed all missions. Would you like to claim the additional reward?]

Xiao Han smiled faintly. "Claim it."

Xiao Han looked at the exquisite device that appeared in his hand, not knowing where to begin criticizing it.

This thing could let him return to the universe from before at any time, but with portal magic, he could do that too.

"Looks like my journey has only just begun..."

He looked down at the city below, his figure turning into a streak of light as he flew toward the New York Sanctum.
