Edwina glanced at Sifa with her pale blue eyes. "That's certainly possible. Important figures find themselves one or even several doubles to guard against all kinds of unforeseen circumstances."
"Besides dying in their masters' place in certain situations, allowing their masters to escape disaster, doubles can sometimes serve as pawns to maintain stability if their masters die while they remain alive."
"They're used to reassure subordinates and intimidate enemies. Only when a new successor emerges does the double leave the stage, one way or another."
Sifa walked over to the desk and saw a notebook covered in white dust beneath the skeleton's hand. It seemed the man had still been writing something down just before he died.
Sifa, who was also wearing gloves, brushed the dust off the notebook and saw some sailing records written in Ancient Feysac.

Sifa picked it up, shook off the dust, and tucked it into his backpack, leaving a closer examination for after he returned.
"Who cares whether he was a double? We're not here to do archaeology or research the identity of the Underworld Emperor's Descendant. Don't forget, we're here to find treasure."
Danitz walked around, then spread his hands. "So, where's the treasure?"
"Captains usually gather their valuables in a single room, but we haven't found anything resembling a collection room on our way here."
Edwina looked around. "So I think the collection room should be connected to the captain's cabin, with a concealed door separating them."
"There should be a mechanism in the captain's cabin that opens the concealed door. Check the bookcases, display cabinets, candlesticks, and anything else you find suspicious."
