Edwina's voice rang in Sifa's ears, and in everyone else's. Sifa was certain that the Iceberg Admiral had already begun to act. The various sounds and clashing auras in the secret chamber told him as much.
It was hard to believe.
Even with her eyes closed, Edwina still had ways to stall Him. She must have employed some method that came at a considerable cost.
With every second counting, no one stood on ceremony or wasted words on sentimental declarations. None of that was necessary. Wasting time on such things would only disrespect Edwina's efforts!
Sifa did not stop thinking, either. While the others tried to break through the floor, he rapidly considered possible solutions.
Do not look directly at mythical creatures.
Do not look directly at gods.
Mortals who looked directly at beings of such high status and level would go mad or die.
In other words, could something of an even higher status look directly at a mythical creature?
For example, a god!
For example, Mr. Fool?
Sifa was not certain, but at this point, he had nothing to lose by trying.
He immediately chanted in a low voice in Ancient Hermes, "The Fool that doesn't belong to this era, the mysterious ruler above the gray fog, the King of Yellow and Black who wields good luck!"
"Honorable Mr. Fool, I'm in trouble. I've encountered a mythical creature. I cannot look directly at Him. I pray for your help. I pray that you will let me pinpoint His location."
