During his overt and covert inquiries over the past few days, a hunter had come to Alger's attention.
The hunter was named Rayleigh. Yedga had reportedly died at his hands.
Various traces and clues indicated that Yedga had imprisoned quite a few adventurers and Beyonders in a dungeon beneath his house.
Quite a few materials and items used for rituals had also found their way out of Yedga's house.
Taken together, the information suggested that Yedga had been preparing to use the people in the dungeon for some sort of ritual. It required living sacrifices-human ones, at that-which was clearly intended to please an evil god.
Alger had also found traces of the Rose School's activities. It seemed that Yedga had been a dictator backed by the Rose School.
But all of this had been thwarted by the hunter named Rayleigh.
