The town was in sight.
Shevich snorted inwardly as a thought crossed his mind. He would increase his firepower and turn everything within his field of vision into a sea of flames, leaving that cunning "Seer" unable to use "Flaming Jump" to escape again. No matter which flame he emerged from, what awaited him would be even hotter, fiercer fire!
But at that moment, the thought vanished from his mind out of nowhere. Shevich's mind suddenly went blank, and he could not even maintain his flame form, forcing the fire to reassemble into his body.
For roughly two seconds, this Demigod's mind was blank. During that time, Shevich stared numbly as the distant "Seer" took out a cane. Then the man's aura turned cold and sinister, while his figure became somewhat blurry and translucent.
By the time Shevich's thoughts began moving again, the "Seer" had vanished. There were no flames anywhere in the surrounding forest.
Where had he gone?
Shevich immediately charged forward and searched everywhere, yet found no trace of the "Seer." Looking toward the nearby town where lights flickered, he let out a low roar, and a ring of flames surged outward from him.
Boom!
Trees and brush ignited, turning into blazing torches and fireballs. After venting his fury by creating this inferno, Shevich pressed a hand downward and controlled the flames until they vanished. Then he turned and ran. After only a few steps, flames erupted around him again, forming an enormous flaming spear that he hurled toward Golden Spring Manor.
Inside a house in Glen Town, a startled cry suddenly rang out. A girl wrapped in a bath towel hurried downstairs in a panic, her face pale as she pointed upstairs and said to her mother, "There's a ghost, Mom! There's a ghost in the bathroom!"
