"Dammit!" Sapir immediately dashed in another direction, but after only two steps, his intuition warned him. He stopped in time and stepped backward.

The deck in front of him exploded in a spray of splinters, blasted open by the bullet.
Sapir suddenly felt a grip tighten around his shoulder. Turning around, he found himself seized by the dark-blue-haired one of the Loen people. Quincy used his martial arts to throw Sapir, who was much taller than him.
