At the bow of that giant sailing ship hung an enormous skull. Its size alone was nearly comparable to most of a normal-sized sailing ship.
The skull looked somewhat like a wolf's, yet it had curved horns like a goat's. Several pitch-black iron chains as thick as an adult's thigh passed through its eye sockets, securing it to the bow.
At that moment, two bloodshot eyeballs rolled out from the monster skull's dark eye sockets, deep crimson flames drifting within their pupils.
They looked down at the pirates on the deck.
Stared at by the eyeballs in that skull, and with the giant ship already nearby, ready at any moment to smash the pirate ship beneath him to pieces, the pirate finally broke down.
He covered his eyes and screamed hysterically. Who knew how long he howled before someone suddenly kicked him to the ground, followed by an angry roar: "What the hell are you screaming for? Are you going to let anyone sleep in the middle of the night or not?"
Only then did the pirate lower his hands. He saw that the deck was crowded with people—his companions, all awakened by his shouting. Every one of them looked vicious, as though they wanted to beat him senseless.
The pirate discovered that the thick fog surrounding them had vanished at some point, and the terrifying giant ship with the huge skull was nowhere to be seen. For a moment, he thought he had merely had a nightmare.
Behind the desolate island where the pirate ship was anchored, fish constantly leaped from the sea. They seemed to be fleeing from something, desperately jumping out of the water only to fall back down in vain.
This phenomenon lasted for more than an hour.
When Sifa woke in the morning, he held
