Night fell.
After dinner, Sifa returned leisurely to the captain's cabin. He closed the door, casually erected a Wall of Spirituality, then let a symbol rise in his eyes.
A figure immediately appeared beside him.
It was as though the figure had been nearby all along, merely concealed from sight, and had now answered his summons.
It was Gehrman Sparrow, wearing a double-breasted coat and a half-height silk top hat, his features cold and stern.

Gehrman Sparrow's projection nodded lightly, took the hairs, and sat on the small sofa in the room.
Sifa stretched out his hand and pressed downward. The lights in the captain's cabin immediately dimmed, leaving the room in gloom.
In that dim atmosphere, Gehrman's projection fell asleep.
Then he spoke in halting fragments. "I see a room. It's very ordinary, with no obvious distinguishing features."
"Judging by the layout, it should be a house somewhere in the East Borough."
