The Battle of Niroc was over, and Lenburg had achieved a stunning victory.
First, President Odys had killed the leader of the Moses Ascetic Order. Since the start of the Fifth Epoch, Angels had rarely fallen.
An ordinary war might involve one or two Demi-Gods, supported by Beyonders of lower sequences.
But the Battle of Niroc had broken every Fifth Epoch record for both the number and level of Beyonders deployed.
On the victorious side, under the command of the Red Angel's evil spirit, they had killed six Demi-Gods from the Feynapotter Kingdom and one from the Moses Ascetic Order.
Feynapotter's losses among lower-sequence Beyonders were even greater. The battle had shaken the country's foundations and dealt it a crippling blow.
James I and Sophia had escaped, but that had only kept the country from falling any further.
Feynapotter was still a major power on the Northern Continent, but its influence would rapidly fade. Its two Angels now had to remain in the country, close to the capital, in case Odys led the other Angels in an attack on Feynapotter City.
But what would happen to its navy? To its colonies?
With six fewer Demi-Gods, Feynapotter would often come off worse in routine confrontations and battles. It had no choice but to pull back its sphere of influence.
Over the next month or two, its international standing would gradually fall from third to fifth.
Lenburg, meanwhile, had risen from fifth to fourth with this victory.
In terms of Angel-level power alone, Lenburg could already rank first.
It still needed more Beyonders at other levels, however.
Before this world war, no country had possessed fourteen Demi-Gods. Since the war began, though, every country had seen several, or even more than a dozen, Beyonders advance to that level.
