Chapter 1155: Abner (Spent Five Minutes Trying to Think of a Title and Came Up Empty)
While Abner's thoughts wandered, the trading session ended and the Tarot Club moved on to open discussion.
After a brief silence, Emlyn, The Moon, straightened his back again and said, looking straight ahead:
"An important figure from my clan will soon arrive in Backlund..."
He paused. When no one responded, he looked toward Miss Magician across from him and cleared his throat.
"She should be coming to meet the Abraham Family's newly advanced Angel and complete the deal they discussed earlier."
She... another Angel... Leonard, The Star, marveled inwardly. Then he noticed something: The Moon had mentioned a "clan," and he had red eyes.
Looks like my last guess was right. He's probably Emlyn, the Vampire from Harvest Church! Leonard glanced at The Moon a few more times, growing more certain with every look.
Emlyn noticed The Star studying him and wondered in surprise:
Did I say something wrong? This Star fellow looks like he's recognized me. Do I know him? A string of thoughts flashed through Emlyn's mind. He instinctively wanted to flare his nostrils and catch the new member's scent, but the Gray Fog blocked him.
Meanwhile, Fors, The Magician, was baffled to find herself the focus of The Moon's words. She had no idea what he was talking about. Since bringing Abner to meet her teacher, she had only exchanged a few letters with him, and naturally none had touched on anything so secret.
