"The Trident!"
As a bishop of the Church of Storms, Alger naturally recognized this ancient Ghost Ship, which had fought for the Lord for centuries.
The ship's origins were fascinating. According to legend, after the God of Death fell and the Berserk Sea formed, separating the Northern and Southern Continents, a faithful believer of the Lord was stranded alone on the Southern Continent.
He tried everything, but could not cross the Berserk Sea. In the end, he and his ship sank beneath the waves.
After his death, his soul fused with the ship, turning it into a Ghost Ship capable of a "deep dive." It wandered the waters around the Southern Continent for centuries, giving rise to countless terrifying legends.
Only seven hundred years ago, sometime after the Twenty Years' War, did it suddenly rise from the seabed and appear near Pasū Island, the Holy Cathedral's headquarters, returning to the Lord's embrace.
Allegedly, the Ghost Ship had not originally been called the Trident. Its first name had survived in no historical record. Alger only remembered that much because he had happened across it while researching the Blue Avenger's origins.
As his thoughts drifted, the Trident docked first. To Alger's surprise, a team of Red Gloves from the Church of Evernight disembarked.
The Trident is generally used only for operations that require a quick crossing of the Berserk Sea... Did something serious happen on the Southern Continent? Serious enough for the elites of two Churches to work together?
