Then again, Abner hadn't made the item just for a joke. The Demoness Transformation was meant to temper, or even avoid, the Coldblooded influence within the Desire Apostle characteristic, so its user wouldn't undergo a drastic change in personality.
Mr. Gaston set down the Magic Wand and answered with an odd look, "I don't have proof, but I suspect the person who ordered a similar item wasn't Nast himself. It was Litorio, the third mate of The Black Emperor... He also owns the Transformation Wand—Wind that I made..."
As for why? He probably doesn't want to be so "lonely" aboard ship... He needs to drag someone else down with him!
I think I've heard of him... Abner thought back and recalled an incident during his time aboard the Golden Dream, when The Black Emperor had dealt with a companion who had lost control. The one who intervened had apparently been Litorio, who seemed to have used the Transformation Wand...
"The Wind Demoness?" Abner asked tentatively. He remembered Edwina telling him that was Litorio's nickname.
"You know about him?" Mr. Gaston gave Abner a surprised look. He had thought Abner had spent the past few months surrounded by women and lost all interest in anything else.
The Hero Detective might no longer be a hot topic, but some adventurers and pirates still enjoyed spreading gossip about him.
If the Backlund Great Smog Incident hadn't captured everyone's attention at sea a few days earlier, the news from Bayam's harbor—"Several women nearly cause a tragedy while bidding the Hero Detective farewell"—would certainly have made headlines.
