Fors had gotten up so early to avoid running into Xio. After working through the night, Xio might come home that morning to catch up on sleep.
I'll hide for a few days. Once she's forgotten about it, I can go back to my usual routine... Sitting in the living room, Fors took a sip of coffee to wake herself up.
Across from her, Abner noticed that she had trailed off and drifted into thought. He coughed and said, "The more deliberately you avoid Xio, the more likely she is to remember..."
"How do you know..." Fors replied without thinking. Then she caught herself and frowned. "Abner, reading a lady's thoughts isn't gentlemanly."
"Sorry," Abner said without much sincerity. He returned to their earlier topic. "So Arrodes gave you a hint, and you want to use my Film Company to help with your Acting as a Trickmaster?"
Fors stared at Abner for a while, unsure how many of her thoughts he had read. She did not dare ask. If he answered, "Everything," she would be mortified... Even if she wanted to silence him, she could not beat him.
After a few seconds of silence, Fors slowly exhaled. "That's right... But I still don't know what a Film Company does, or how I'm supposed to use it for Acting..."
I do know everything... Miss, as an author, your imagination is far too active. There are so many scenes playing out in your head that even if I don't use Mind Reading, the Magic Mirror can easily Record them.

Thoughts flashed through Abner's mind. Outwardly, he stood, went to his room, and returned with a cube-shaped box about the size
