After finishing those, he sacrificed the Powder Box made from the hide of the Beyonder creature he had encountered while flying back from Bayam to Mr. Fool. Only then did he set up a one-use Teleportation Altar and return to the secret stronghold on the outskirts of Backlund.
—This was one of the two altars he had established when rescuing Talim.
Since the town where the stronghold was located was not too far from the city, it was already within the range of the low-end version of Teleportation that Abner could simulate.
Thus, rather than wait until dawn to call for a carriage, he passed directly through a Teleportation Door and entered the bedroom of his own villa.
Come to think of it, the Teleportation Abner had learned came from the Teleportation ability recorded by the Scribe grazed by the Magic Mirror. It was the lowest of the low-end versions, which was why its Travel range was so limited.
Even so, Abner had noticed that this ability he had learned himself was somewhat more effective in practice than the Teleportation simulated through the Pure White Eye.
