Seeing how hard it was for Arven to talk about it, Baimu didn't ask what had caused the injury. Instead, he said, "Herba Mystica can heal it?"
"I'm sure it can!"
Arven spoke with conviction, as though he were trying to reassure himself.
It was as if hesitating for even a second would make the Herba Mystica lose its power.
None of Baimu's Pokémon had ever suffered an injury that severe, but he understood how Arven felt. "All right. I'll contact you when the time comes."
They exchanged contact information.
Arven looked at his phone and suddenly seemed hesitant. A few seconds later, he mustered his courage. "If you don't mind, let's go together!"
"Together?" Baimu asked.
"Yeah. I want Mabosstiff to eat the Herba Mystica as soon as we get it."
He nodded earnestly, clutching the little bottle in his hand. "Think it over. I'll be waiting to hear from you!"
With that, Arven turned and ran toward the cafeteria exit. Without looking back, he called, "I'm going home to make Mabosstiff something to eat! Talk to you later, Baimu!"
He was always in a hurry, as if something were chasing him.
Baimu hadn't even had a chance to bring up Professor Turo. But judging by Arven's resentful expression when he'd mentioned him that morning...
Family trouble?
Feels like I've stumbled into a side quest I really shouldn't be involved in.
