The Eternatus core had been placed in the basement.
"A thousand years..."
Baimu looked at it, then at the Wish Star beside it. Something had happened earlier that made him think Jirachi would wake up.
But it hadn't.
Apparently, like Eternatus, it would need another thousand years.
When archaeologists dug them up a millennium from now, would they assume the two were connected?
One reacted to meteors from outer space; the other was a meteor from outer space.
Well, would you look at that!
How could there be such a coincidence?
The thought that he could contribute to archaeology left Baimu immensely pleased.
After taking several photos, the Porygon Phone suddenly said, "Might as well put Pecharunt here someday too."
Baimu said, "The Loyal Three would fight you for it."
The Loyal Three took Pecharunt everywhere each day, clearly hoping the colorful outside world would stir it awake.
Unfortunately, it had done little good.
So far, at least, Pecharunt had shown no sign of waking.
It went to show how deeply emotional wounds could affect Pokémon. Similar things had happened in the anime.
But when the situation was reversed, things could get much worse...
In Pokémon Adventures, Pryce had caused no end of trouble trying to save his two Lapras after something happened to them.
He had even become the terrifying Masked Man and kidnapped Giovanni's son!
Putting himself in Pryce's shoes, Baimu felt that if something similar happened to him, he might not go to such extremes, but he would certainly do everything he could.
"It might be better if it doesn't come out anytime soon."
He knew Pecharunt was an obsessive Pokémon with eerie powers and no self-control. It would only draw wave after wave of trainers bent on taking it down.
Baimu left the basement and returned
