Boom!
A towering cloud of dust swallowed the battlefield.
"Magmortar! Camerupt!"
Crispin's shout rang across the glittering Fluorescent platform. Even Wild Pokémon far in the distance looked up.
The students watching stared ahead, waiting for the final result.
A moment later.
An artificial breeze swept through, clearing the smoke.
Camerupt and Magmortar lay slumped against each other, all four eyes reduced to black swirls.
"Camerupt and Magmortar are unable to battle."
Amarys raised a hand and announced the ruling.
Only two left!
The crowd grew restless. Less than fifteen minutes into the match, Crispin, one of the Blueberry Elite Four, had only two Pokémon remaining.
It drove home to the young trainers on campus just how wide the gap was between them and the truly strong.
Kieran watched Crispin hang his head and, for some reason, saw himself in his place.

No!
I won't lose!
Kieran gripped his Poké Ball. He had worked day and night for six months for this very day.
Ogerpon and Pecharunt were both Pokémon from legends. Ogerpon was one of the Loyal Three, so her strength should have been about the same as Okidogi's and the others'.
Pecharunt had been defeated, sure, but it had held its own against four Pokémon. It couldn't be weak.
If those were his only opponents, six against two would be enough to win!
Kieran knew perfectly well that if Baimu couldn't switch Pokémon, his own chances of winning were far from zero!
He took a deep breath and stopped watching a match whose outcome was already decided.
He had to prepare more thoroughly for his battle that afternoon!
Seeing him quietly leave, Drayton said, "Looks like this is the end for Crispin."
"What are you talking about? The match isn't over
