Aura Guardian Aaron, Iron Island's resident NPC.
Baimu had met his ancestor Bai in Jubilife Village, and had even seen his more distant ancestor Aaron in the movie.
The members of his "Aaron" lineage seemed to share the same face, as mysteriously as the Jennys and Joys.
"Miss Cynthia, it's been a long time."
Aaron smiled as he greeted Cynthia. This was not her first visit to Iron Island, so naturally, it was not their first meeting either.
Cynthia nodded and introduced Baimu beside her. "It's been a long time. This is the Champion of Orre: Baimu."
"Hello, hello."
"Nice to meet you. Please take care of me."
The three exchanged customary pleasantries.
While Cynthia and Aaron briefly caught up, Baimu's gaze fell on the Lucario beside him.
He could not help thinking, No matter how many times I see it, ordinary Lucario are ridiculously short.
Although he had previously seen Korrina's and Ash's Lucario, both of them were teenagers, so their heights were comparable and had not felt particularly strange.
But now, seeing Aaron and his Lucario...
It was hard to imagine that a humanoid Pokémon, even with its ears standing upright, only reached an adult man's chest.
What, Machop? Tyrogue?
Baimu's inward mockery seemed to have been sensed by Lucario, who instinctively let out an unhappy growl.
"Grr..."
"Lucario?"
Aaron lowered his head. Through Aura, he sensed the ripples in Lucario's heart, then followed them to Baimu, who was staring at him. He smiled. "Could it be that the Champion is interested in Lucario?"
"To be precise, I'm interested in Aura."
Baimu had always been curious about the power of Aura, solely because its versatility rivaled Creation Force, while its threshold was lower—at least one did not need to be born in the Valley of Origin.
Aaron smiled.
