Baimu held the rescued An Xin'er and Hoopa, immediately having Shiny Gengar and the Porygon Phone assist with the evacuation.
To that end, he used the Mystery Plate to construct a [platform] they could stand on, then had the Sky Plate propel them forward. In the blink of an eye, they vanished from where they stood and reappeared atop a rooftop in a distant district.
He frowned slightly as he gazed at the enormous Prism Tower in the distance, which roared at the sky like a living creature, then at the pitch-black tentacles ravaging central Lumiose City.
The tower's original peak had turned into a bizarre flower bud, while countless roots had sprouted from its base to tear apart the ground. Vast swathes of nearby buildings had been reduced to rubble, yet surprisingly, there were no victims in sight.
There were, however, plenty of Pokémon fleeing in every direction. Some had even Mega Evolved, radiating an eerie pinkish-purple glow that clearly did not look normal.
No.
It was absolutely not normal!
Watching those Mega-Evolved Pokémon begin to wreck the city, Baimu felt as though he were witnessing the Mega Evolution Wave from before.
"Do you know what that thing is?"
"No."
Curled up in his warm embrace, An Xin'er felt utterly surrounded by a strong sense of safety. She softly said, "An Xin'er has never seen it before~"
The Porygon Phone remotely filmed and analyzed the details. "This should be the result of a second round of modifications to Prism Tower—but who would have so much time on their hands? Lysandre?"
"Lysandre..."
Baimu recalled the Team Flare leader, who should have been bedridden and paralyzed, only to mysteriously disappear.
Could he have traveled to Lumiose City in a parallel world, rebuilt Team Flare, and modified Prism Tower?
It
