Dragonite cried out in pain and flew in an arc toward the horizon. Before several pairs of watching eyes, he plunged into a pond deep in the oasis forest, sending up a towering splash with a thunderous crash.

The water fell back into the pond like a burst of firecrackers, then gradually settled.
"Dragonite!"
Iris shouted and ran toward him.
Red mist swirled around Hydreigon, whose eyes glowed scarlet. He slowly beat his wings, raised his heads, and let out a shrill, chilling roar.
"Raaagh—!!"
"Ugh."
Baimu clutched his head. His mind had suddenly grown muddled, as though countless thoughts had been crammed into it at once. He could no longer make out Hydreigon's inner voice, no matter how hard he listened.
Was it because of Outrage?
He shouted to Hydreigon, "Come down! Fly down here!"
He called twice without getting a response. Hydreigon kept roaring in his grating voice, as if trying to intimidate someone—or proclaim his overwhelming strength.
"Get down here!"
Baimu raised his voice and put more force behind the command. Only then did Hydreigon turn, as though waking from a dream, and slowly descend.
"Raa... raaagh..."
Hydreigon lowered his heads, his fierce expression gone. Even his voice had softened.
Baimu did not scold him. Hydreigon had not done it on purpose. Instead, he placed a hand against his chest, hoping to hear his thoughts.
Unfortunately, the deliberate attempt did nothing. Even the jumble of thoughts in Baimu's own mind vanished, leaving him with nothing but the sight of Hydreigon, red mist still pouring off him, looking intensely restless.
In the games, after using Outrage, a Pokémon could not use another move for two or three turns. It could not use items, be switched out, or even flee.
