"What!?"
Baimu and Pheobe stared in disbelief.
Only half an hour ago, they had confirmed Long He's death. They had assumed Banette simply could not accept that its Trainer had died and was insisting he was still alive.
And now it suddenly claimed a Pokémon had promised to save Long He?
This had to be a joke!
"Who?" Baimu asked, looking up.
Long He really had been blown to pieces, but some Legendary Pokémon could do things that defied all reason.

It made sense that Long He's sacrifice might have moved some extraordinary Pokémon to give him another chance at life.
But what kind of "god" had stepped in?
Baimu could not imagine who would show up in a backwater like Orre.
"I don't know."
Baimu's raised brows promptly fell at Banette's answer. "I don't know that Pokémon. It came from the Spirit World."
Wait!
A Pokémon from the Spirit World had said it could revive Long He?
Baimu opened his mouth, then looked at Pheobe beside him. Sure enough, her expression had turned grave.
The Spirit World was where souls went. It was a place for the dead, not the living. Could a Pokémon from there really bring a dead man back?
Actually, it might be possible.
But in most stories, that kind
