The only way to know was to test it. Marlin had reason to suspect Ayana was trying to bluff her by sending out Slowbro, so she took the chance.

Unfortunately for her, Slowbro really did have Oblivious.

Ayana used the opening to have Slowbro summon another round of Rain Dance.

In an instant, rain fell for the second time on the Battle Arena, already fractured by Earthquake. Mud formed in several places, and pooled water slowly ran off the field.

Three of the five matches had already been decided. Pyrite Town led two wins to one loss, and the outcome of Ayana and Marlin's battle might affect both sides' morale for the afternoon matches.

The vacant-faced Slowbro took half a step back. Gothitelle swayed and let out a stifled grunt.

Ever since Gothitelle had defeated Quagsire with that move, Ayana had been on guard against it. Besides being immune to Taunt, Slowbro had been her choice because she hoped it could resist Telekinesis with its own psychic power.

Thankfully, Slowbro had not let her down.
