Across the field, one of the Pyrite Town trainers who couldn't see Corviknight noticed the change and shouted excitedly.
"Boss Baimu won!"
"It's over? Already?"
"No, Corviknight's unable to battle! Look at the scoreboard!"
Everyone broke into noisy chatter.
The Silicon Beryllium City trainers were in an uproar too, though their main argument was over how to break through the Sand Wall Mega Steelix had created.
Some believed that, intimidating as the Sand Wall looked, it was still a weather-based move. A more powerful weather effect could counter it, such as Torkoal's Drought Ability.
Others thought there was no need to break through it at all. Weather affected both sides, so they could turn it to their advantage.
So what if there was a Sand Wall?
There were plenty of Pokémon that could roam the desert. Besides, Instructor Zhengyi was an expert in both Sandstorm and Sunny Day!
As the youths argued, few believed the Sand Wall was impossible to overcome.
