Yesterday, he had asked his Porygon Phone to find out from the two wild Salandit what kind of Berries Totem Salazzle liked. He wanted to be sure of its tastes.
Otherwise, even a perfect dish would lose half its appeal if it tasted like something Salazzle hated.
Fire-type Pokémon did not necessarily like spicy food. Their tastes could lean toward their types, but it was no hard rule. Salazzle, however, fit the pattern.
Cheri Berries were spicy.

"What do you think of a spicy mushroom hotpot?" he asked Blissey.
