Rain fell for days.
Mist shrouded Platinum Silver Mountain.
The only sound in the stillness was the patter of raindrops on leaves.
Many Wild Pokémon huddled in shelter, far from pleased by the welcome rain.
More than cooler weather, they wanted time to gather food.
Would the fruit and vegetables rot?
They worried about it constantly.
The sudden drop in temperature left the entire mountain cloaked in mist. Beneath the clouds, visibility was frighteningly poor, and even Pokémon that didn't mind water struggled to make their way down the mountain.
The occasional rumble of thunder and flashes of lightning across the sky also left the Wild Pokémon trembling with fear.
Fortunately,
the clouds shifted, and the rain gradually stopped.
Gentle sunlight once again washed over the vibrant land, drawing cheerful calls from Pidgey and other bird Pokémon in the mountains.
The rain was over.
They could start building new nests.
The severe lack of vegetation in the past had made life difficult for Wild Pokémon that built nests.
To the bird Pokémon, building nests had therefore become an even higher priority than gathering food.
At the mountainside camp,
Baimu finished using Heart of God.
"Good thing you were here."
He stroked Lugia's chin with a sigh. Its damp, smooth skin felt wonderful beneath his hand.
Once Legendary Pokémon got serious about a fight, they stopped listening to reason.
The Sinnoh trilogy had made it abundantly clear that even beings revered as gods chose to fight when someone invaded their territory.
Find out why space and time had intersected?
They could do that after the fight!
"Choo~"
Lugia narrowed its eyes in contentment.
It was a pacifist.
It had traveled all the way to Orre so its child could grow up in peace.
